#Karamoja relief food

Parliament's Presidential Affairs Committee and Disaster Preparedness Minister Sam Engola have called for an immediate halt to perpetual relief food hand-outs in Karamoja, pushing instead for investments in irrigation schemes, grain silos, and commercial agriculture.

Minister for Karamoja Affairs Hon. Lokii John Baptist has spearheaded a coordination meeting in Kaabong District to roll out over nine million kilograms of emergency relief food. The initiative targets vulnerable communities facing severe drought across the nine districts of the Karamoja sub-region.
